The Zinkätzung also bar-cliché or clichés called, is a method for high pressure is counted. It is also an etching technique .

The drawing is applied as a graphic with asphalt paint on a zinc plate. During the subsequent etching in the acid bath, the metal parts that are not covered by the asphalt paint are etched away. The printing plate is colored with ink by rolling it over so that only the raised parts of the printing block carry ink.

The technique of zinc etching was developed by William Blake in the 19th century .
