Gina Amendola

Luigina Amendola (born September 1, 1896 in Grottaminarda , † October 7, 1968 in Rome ) was an Italian actress .

Life

Amendola came from a stage family and grew up with the theater from an early age. She appeared in many comedies (in 1928, for example, she is attested with the “Compagnia Regina” in the play L'occhio del mondo ); She began her film career - after an excursion in 1939 - in the 1950s, specializing in character studies of Roman women and interpreting expressively aunts, timid mothers, curious caretakers and intriguing neighbors, but also ladies with wide hearts. She ended her career in the mid-1960s. She was always loyal to the stage and had u. a. played for several years in the ensemble around Checco Durante .
