Giovanni Boldù (verifiably in Venice from 1454 to 1475 ) was an Italian medalist and painter.

Giovanni Boldù is mentioned several times in Venetian files between 1454 and 1475. Nothing is known about his origins and training. Several signed medals have been preserved from the years 1457 and 1458, the heads of which are stylistically reminiscent of the medal portraits of Antonio Pisano, known as Pisanello . For the backs of his medals, he oriented himself on ancient models, mainly on depictions on gems . He probably died before 1477.

He signed his medals with full names and referred to himself as a painter: "OPUS JOANIS BOLDUS PICTORIS VENETI". So far it has not been possible for researchers to assign paintings or drawings to him.
