Marifil Niña Girado (or Nina ) (born November 1, 1980 in Pasay City ) is a Filipino singer who became known as a soul siren. As a coloratura soprano , she can reproduce both low and high notes in the whistle register .

Life

Marifil Niña Girado grew up in Quezon City and has three siblings. She is currently one of the most famous singers in the Philippines.

way to success

Her father, Filbert, is a member of the Bayanihan Boy's Choir and her mother, Maria Daulet, plays the piano. She took singing lessons from the age of five. She was the winner of the Tanghalan ng Kampeon singing competition for seven weeks . Before that she sang in bars or clubs from time to time. The themes were love, loss, passion and fiery emotions. In an interview with a Filipino youth newspaper, she said that her intention when singing was to "wake sleepy and tired souls".
