The latticework is a filling decoration of diamond-shaped patterns in the form of grids and cartouches made of cords, ribbons or rods. It was very popular during the Rococo .

The latticework replaced the bandwork around 1720 . A special form is the 18th century by Ivory artists in Dieppe finely cut latticework that Mosaïque is called.
