Giuseppe Chinzer

Giuseppe Chinzer , also Chinxer (* before 1738 in Florence , † after 1745) was an Italian cellist and composer of the late baroque and pre-classical periods .

Life

Giuseppe Chinzer worked at the opera in Lucca around 1738 , he became known for his cello sonatas Op. 1, which was published in 1745 in Paris by Boivin and Le Clerc under the title “Six Sonates Œuvre Première a Violoncello col basso, del Signor Chinxer, ces sonates peuvent se jouer également sur deux bassons” . Individual sonatas from this opus have been reprinted several times over the past few decades.

It is not certain whether there is a relationship with the opera composer Giovanni Chinzer , who also comes from Florence .
