The Gjerpenkollen in Drammen consists of several ski jumping hills that are operated all year round. The facility includes three small jumps of category K 8, K 18, K 35 and a medium jump of category K 74. Jumps K 74 and K 15 have been covered with plastic mattings for summer operation since 1997 and 1998 respectively.

history

The very first ski jump was built in 1932 and today's ski jump was built in 1960. In 1987 the hill was upgraded to the K 74. The highest ski jump was built in its current form in 1995. In the same year the K 35 ski jump was built. Snow cannons have been ensuring safe winter operation since 2007.

The largest ski jump was damaged by heavy rain and landslides in summer 2008. Between 2009 and 2010 the entire ski jumping area was renovated for 3.8 million crowns . The K 74 ski jump was overhauled in autumn 2008. Then the ski jumps K 8, K 18 and K 35 received new profiles as well as plastic and porcelain tracks for summer operation.

The entire complex is owned by a municipal foundation, the Stiftelsen Gjerpenkollen Hoppanlegg .
