Gladstone Prize
The Gladstone Prize (English Gladstone Prize ) is an annual prize awarded by the Royal Historical Society for the best book on predominantly non-British history of a year. It was to be the author's first book on the subject. The prize is named after William Ewart Gladstone and endowed with 1000 pounds (as of 2015).
Until 2013, the year of the award related to the respective competition period, even if the award was not awarded until the following year. Since 2015, the year of the award has been given as the year of the award.
