Glaukias (General)
Glaukias ( Greek Γλαυκίας ) was a Macedonian equestrian officer and companion ( hetairos ) of Alexander the great in the 4th century BC.
Glaukias was in 331 BC. At the battle of Gaugamela one of the eight squadron leaders (ilarchos) of the Hetairenreiterei . After that he is not mentioned any further, but Heckel holds an identification of the equestrian officer with the henchman of the same name Kassander and murderer of King Alexander IV.
