Price (as of March 2019) 2nd class: 129 CHF

The Track 7 was a subscription to the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) for persons up to the age of 25 years that was offered to the end of April of 2019. The Gleis 7 card made it possible to travel from 7 p.m. to the end of operations without an additional ticket (2nd class). However, night surcharges may have to be paid. It was valid on the entire SBB route network and was also recognized by around 100 transport companies in Switzerland. The scope is shown on a map from Trafimage . It is only partially identical to that of the general travelcard (GA) or the half-tax travelcard . From the 16th birthday onwards, a half-fare card was a prerequisite for purchasing platform 7 . On May 1, 2019, it was replaced by a successor product called seven25 , which is valid in the entire GA area and no longer requires a half-fare card .

validity

If a train is used that departs before 7 p.m. (for example 6:55 p.m.), the passenger does not have a valid ticket, even if the ticket inspection does not take place until after 7 p.m.

history

The subscription was developed in cooperation with the BrainStore idea factory. When the timetable changed on December 11, 2011, the price was increased from CHF 99 to CHF 129.

At the beginning of 2018, track 7 was integrated into the SwissPass . On May 1, 2019, the offer was renamed Seven25 and the validity was extended to the entire GA route network.

seven25 subscription

The new subscription, called seven25, is the successor to platform 7 and is also available on the SwissPass . It allows the owner up to 25 years of age to travel freely (2nd class) on the GA area routes from 7 p.m. in the evening until 5 a.m. the next morning (official closing time). As with the general subscription , the night surcharge is not included. The subscription costs 390 francs per year, although there is also a monthly option at a price of 39 francs.
