The Trackless train Lloyd Brockau is a former German trolleybus OPERATION - then Trackless train called - in today Poland belonging Silesia . It was the first trolleybus line in what is now the Republic of Poland.
History and route description
The plant opened on July 1, 1912 and was closed again in 1913 or 1914. The 4.3 kilometer long route connected the Wrocław ( Polish: Wrocław ) district of Wolfswinkel (Polish : Wilczy Kąt ) in the district of Krieter (Polish: Krzyki ) with the then still independent municipality of Brockau (Polish: Brochów , incorporated into Breslau in 1951, now also part of the Krnern district) ). The operating company was Gleislose Bahn Brockau GmbH , and four motor vehicles with wheel hub motors and two trailers were used .
technology
The railway was built by Gleislose Lloydbahnen Köhlers Bahnpatente GmbH from Bremen , so it was operated according to the rare Lloyd-Köhler system . In this case, the two wires were arranged one above the other, while in almost all other trolleybus systems they ran next to each other. In total there were only five systems based on this system. In addition to the route covered here, these were the Bremen-Arster Bahn , the Parkbahn , which also operates in Bremen , the Ludwigsburg catenary railways and the operation in Stockport, England .
