Glidcop

Glidcop is the trade name of an alloy of copper and aluminum oxide produced by powder metallurgy . It has a higher heat resistance than copper, but a similar thermal conductivity.

It is used, among other things, as a welding electrode for spot welding and as an absorber for synchrotron radiation .
