The Glock Feldspaten is a folding spade from the Austrian manufacturer Glock GmbH . The feldspade has a handle made of GRP plastic . The plastic handle is based on an idea by Gaston Glock . At the time the feldspar was designed in 1983, this was an unusual but very innovative choice of material. The feldspade is characterized by its low weight of 640 grams . When extended, the feldspade is 63 cm long; when folded, the dimensions are 26 × 16 cm. There is a saw inside the handle.

The Danish army uses the feldspade under the name feltspade M / 96 .
