The Gmindersdorf is a former workers' settlement in Reutlingen .

The settlement was built from 1903 to 1923 by the textile company Ulrich Gminder GmbH (UG) and commissioned by the managing directors Carl and Louis Gminder. The reason was the provision of modern living space, an improvement in the quality of life and thus the encounter with the labor shortage during this time.

The Gmindersdorf is an example of early social housing. The renowned architect Theodor Fischer was commissioned with the planning and implementation . The settlement has a real village character with all necessary facilities, e.g. B. a "day care center", a restaurant (still in operation today), a general store or the "Altenhof".
