Place of grace
After the order of grace of North Rhine-Westphalia in each judicial district one is grace site set up for pardons brought. A convicted person can submit a petition for clemency to the commissioner for grace . If the decision is positive, the sentence can be suspended, waived, reduced or commuted. Mercy proceedings are free of charge for the applicant.
