The Gneiss Lake is a small and permanent zugefrorener lake in the south of Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is west of the Gneiss Hills .

The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1981 based on the name of the Gneiss Hills.
