Goass

A Goaß ( Bavarian for goat , correspondingly Swabian Goiß or Upper Franconian Gaaß or in the Middle Franconian area Bumber / Bumbers / Bumba / Schwarze ) is a mixed beer drink that is particularly widespread in Bavaria and Württemberg .

It is usually drunk as a measure ( Goaßn Maß / Goaß Maß ), although Goaßnhalbe or Goaßn- Seidla are also offered. It consists of half cola and dark beer or dark wheat beer and around 4 cl cherry liqueur or cognac .

The goass with cherry liqueur is particularly popular with young people because of its sweet taste . As a variation to the normal, "sweet" Goaß, there is also the spicy, also bitter one, which instead of cherry liqueur contains the same amount of brandy , sometimes also whiskey .

The goass with egg is occasionally used in drinking circles, with either a raw egg or the same amount of egg liqueur being added to the mug instead of the cherry liqueur .

Like the boot , the drink is also popular in the drinking game The penultimate pays . The goass is drunk in turn and the person who sits in front of the person who drinks it has to pay the amount. This game is mostly referred to as Goaßnrennen or Goaß Maßschiam .
