Godzilla - The Savior of the Earth (Original title: The Godzilla Power Hour ) is an American animated series from 1978. It was created as a co-production between Hanna-Barbera Productions and Tōhō and is an animated version of the Godzilla films produced by Tōhō . The series comprises two seasons with 26 episodes and is about a team of researchers who can call Godzilla for help using a radio signal at any time if the world or herself are endangered by monsters. Godzooky, a minigodzilla that can fly, is responsible for the comedy interludes in the series. In Germany it was broadcast as part of the children's television series Bim Bam Bino .

Godzilla - The Savior of the Earth ran for the first time from September 9, 1978 to December 12, 1979 on the American broadcaster NBC. In the meantime, the first season has also appeared in several editions on DVD. Sony Wonder released four episodes each on DVD in 2006. Another edition with five episodes followed in 2007. It was released by Classic Media . In 2011, 15 episodes of the series were instantly available on Netflix .
