Publisher profile

Publishing philosophy

The growing interest of the poets and thinkers of the West in oriental reading led to the poets of the Orient becoming more and more famous in Europe . The connection that Johann Wolfgang von Goethe felt to the Persian poet Hafis , stimulated by reading his work Diwan , inspired the naming of the publisher.

The publisher sees it as its task to rediscover and protect this literature in the age of globalization in order to build intellectual bridges. The term “world literature” is given a completely new and meaningful meaning.

Publishing program

The publishing program includes new editions of old oriental works that were already out of print, as well as travel reports and books of poetry related to the Orient . Under the Edition Pajam also belletristic modern works by contemporary writers and artists will be published in the West and East.
