The Golatenmatttor (or Inneres Aarbergertor) was a former city ​​gate in Bern located on Aarbergergasse .

The Golatenmatttor was built in 1345, from 1379 to 1381 and from 1445 to 1457 it was expanded. In the last third of the 15th century, the tower received its later height of a good twenty meters. The inner niche was walled up in 1549. The originally wooden moat bridge had three stone yokes from 1613 until it was demolished in 1829. In March 1830 the tower was completely demolished.
