Gold is the fourth compilation album by the singer and songwriter Cat Stevens .

history

The compilation album Gold by Cat Stevens (now Yusuf) was released in November 2005 and, apart from the compilation box On the Road to Find Out (box set), is Cat Stevens' most comprehensive scrapbook up to 2005.

The double CD is structured chronologically and ends with Indian Ocean , a new composition by Yusuf Islam, which was available as a download single on the occasion of the tsunami disaster in December 2004 .

The CD was accompanied by a 24-page booklet with information on all published albums by Cat Stevens and titles of the double album; the artist helped shape the concept of this publication. A series of CD re-releases (Best Of / Greatest Hits) by the record label's artists was released under the title Gold .
