Goldman-Sachs

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Goldman-Sachs family is a German-Jewish family best known for the Goldman Sachs investment bank . The youngest daughter of Marcus Goldman, Louisa, married Samuel Sachs, the son of close friends and immigrants from Bavaria from Lower Franconia . Louisa's older sister and Sam's older brother had already married. His eldest son, Julius Goldman, married Sarah Adler, daughter of Samuel Adler. In 1882 Goldman invited his son-in-law, Samuel, to join him and changed the company name to M.Goldman and Sachs . For almost fifty years, all partners came from the extended family.
