rating scale

Goldmine Magazin has developed an internationally valid system to assess the condition of used sound carriers:

  • SS (Still Sealed)

Original welded

  • M (Mint)

New. No damage, neither on the case nor on the medium - probably never played.

  • NM (Near Mint)

Like new, no damage, neither on the sleeve nor on the medium

  • EX (Excellent)

Few signs of wear, slight deterioration in sound quality. The cover is slightly worn

  • VG (Very Good)

Small scratches or slight noise can occur. The cover may have tears, but is still usable.

  • G (Good)

The record has lost its quality. Has severe scratches. The cover shows damage.

  • F (fair)

The sound carriers are acoustically completely without value, since they can practically no longer be played. The cover is torn or incomplete. Buying to complete the collection is only worthwhile for rare items.
