Google EPIC

Google EPIC is a short film created by Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson and licensed under a Creative Commons License . The first version, entitled “Google EPIC 2014”, was released in November 2004 with the original music by Aaron McLeran.

Google EPIC 2014

The first short film is a fictional look back through the "Museum of Media History" from 2014. It describes the development of the Internet and the companies Amazon , Google and MSN . In addition, the film shows a possible further development of the corporations via “Googlezon” as a merger of Google and Amazon to “Google EPIC” and the associated opportunities for everyone to participate in current events, but also the restriction of privacy and intellectual property . The film was made in 2004 and was released in November of the same year.

Google EPIC 2015

Shortly after the completion of Google EPIC 2014, the creators came up with a few things that were missing. So it was decided to bring out a revised work again. Google EPIC 2015 is not quite as gloomy as its predecessor and describes the fictional possibilities less critically than the first part. The update was released in January 2005.
