Life

The genealogical descent of Gottfried von Schwarzburg is not clearly documented, probably a later son of the Counts of Schwarzburg zu Blankenburg . On 3 March 1548 commissioned Gottfried in Dortmund more proxies to possession of Münster Dompräbende that had become vacant by the death of the canon Rotger Schmising. On October 2, 1553 it came into the possession of the prebende. He was emancipated the following year. 1565 abandoned it on his benefice. The sources do not provide any information about his further life.
