Grønlandsbanken ( proper spelling : GrønlandsBANKEN ) is a Greenland credit institution with its headquarters in the capital Nuuk . Grønlandsbanken is listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. It is the first and most important bank in Greenland. The bank was founded on May 26, 1967 by a Danish banking consortium and first opened on July 1, 1967. Today Grønlandsbanken has eight branches in Greenland, most of them on the much more densely populated west coast.
