action

A group of high school students graduated from high school in 1989. Maria Laura Falsini is the friend of Pablo Catáneo, the school's heartthrob. When Maria sees Pablo having sex with another girl in the bathroom during graduation, she leaves the party. Andrés Goddzer accompanies them and they have sex in his car. Maria becomes pregnant and her father, Clemente Falsini, owner of McCan, a successful dog food company, asks her - unaware of her encounter with Andrés - to marry Pablo.

The first episode makes a leap in time from 1989 to 2012. Pablo works for Clemente's company, while Andrés is a lazy man without a permanent job and occasionally works as a dog sitter. Maria hires Andrés by chance and remembers their meeting in 1989. A DNA test confirms that Andrés is indeed the father of her son Martin. These events give the series its basic plot: Andrés tries to adapt to his newfound fatherhood, Pablo refuses this intrusion into his family, Martin tries to get along well with both of them and Maria begins a romance with Andrés. Pablo cheats on her with Patricia Longo, Clemente's wife and secretary. She becomes pregnant by Pablo, but claims that Clemente is her son's father.

Andrés' family is Jewish. His parents are Elias and Dana. His sister Gabriela works for McCan and is miserably in love. Andrés is friends with two classmates: Benjamin 'Tuca' Pardo and Verónica Diorio. Verónica run a radio station that plays Argentinian rock music from the 1980s. Maria stays in touch with her best friend in high school: the psychiatrist Victoria Lauria, a single woman who makes no secret of her desire to have children. As it turns out at a meeting of the graduates, Guillermo Almada, another classmate of Andrés, has also taken a job with McCan. In contrast, none of the graduates recognized Clemente's wife Patricia. She was very overweight at school and after losing weight she changed her face and name too.

Patricia's secret is slowly being revealed to the others. Pablo gets to know their true identity in the series finale, but they stay together. Andrés and Maria Laura leave the city; Victoria has a son with Tuca; Elias and Dana open a dumpling shop and Gabriela marries her neighbor, Marito. The series ends with a party hosted by the School for the 1989 Graduates, similar to the graduation ceremony in the first episode.
