Cordoba University

The Cordoba University (Cordoba University) is an Islamic university based in Ashburn (Virginia) in the United States . The university is made up of the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences (GSISS) and the Cordoba School of Professional Studies . The GSISS is part of the United States Department of Defense program for the training of Muslim military chaplains that produced the United States Marine Corps' first Muslim chaplain . The university is the only one in the United States to be a member of the Association of Universities of the Islamic World .

Taha Jabir al-Alwani (1935–2016) was President of Cordoba University and also Dean of the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences .
