County of Crépy
The county of Crépy with the main town of Crépy-en-Valois existed in the 11th century as one of the counties that - like the counties of Amiens , Vexin and Valois - were owned by the same family.
Raoul IV, Count of Valois, Crépy and Vitry , married his daughter Adele to Count Heribert IV of Vermandois before 1068 . When Raoul's grandson Simon von Crépy resigned in 1077 and went to the monastery, Heribert IV succeeded him in the Valois.
The following also appears as Count von Crépy:
- Rudolf I. le Vaillant (1102–1152), Count of Vermandois, Valois, Amiens and Crépy, Seneschal of France 1131–1152, 1147 Regent of France, son of Hugos of Vermandois and grandson of Heribert IV.
In the following years, the county of Crépy was part of the county of Valois.
