Grain pan

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Grainer pan is a special type of salt boiler . Low-pressure steam with 2–8 bar is used as a heat transfer medium , which is fed directly through the brine in pipes and thereby heats it. Grainer pans are usually embedded in the ground and are usually made of concrete or steel. The steam condensate is fed back into the steam boiler in a cycle process. Can Grainerpfannen both in the Kali - as well as evaporated salt are used.

The grainer pan is named after the grainer evaporation process , which was introduced in the USA around 1860.
