Grandval Bible

The Grandval Bible or Moutier Grandval Bible is a Carolingian illuminated manuscript that was created around 840 in the monastery of St. Martin in Tours . The large-format codex in the format 375 x 510 mm contains a full Bible and is illuminated with four full-page miniatures .

The manuscript belonged to the Swiss monastery Moutier-Grandval in the late 16th century and has been in the London British Library since 1836 ( Sign. Add. Ms. 10546 ).
