Granville Brothers Aircraft was an American aircraft manufacturer. The company was founded in 1925 by the five brothers Zantford, Thomas, Robert, Mark and Edward Granville, but went bankrupt in 1934 . The company became known through the construction of sport aircraft such as the Gee Bee R-1 or the Gee Bee Z40 . A total of only 24 aircraft were built, most of which were destroyed in accidents, so that only two surviving originals are known. Therefore, most of the airplanes exposed in museums, for example, are replicas .
