Grazer Kunstverein

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Grazer Kunstverein was founded in 1986 by Peter Pakesch and the cultural politician Helmut Strobl as a non-profit institution. It is a platform for production, exhibition technology and communication of contemporary art. The art association is characterized by its international cooperation with artists and represents current artistic positions. The aim of the association is to present trends in current art in a well-founded manner and at the same time to convey them vividly with current topics and questions. The Grazer Kunstverein plays an important role in Graz, Austria and abroad as a production site for current art and its communication. Due to the close cooperation with institutions and universities, the art association describes itself as a center for artistic and cultural studies.
