A gred roof is a type of building roofing that is common in historical single-storey farmhouses in Upper and Lower Bavaria . The roof protrudes asymmetrically along one side of the eaves by around 80 centimeters. A narrow paved path (“ gred ”) along the entrance side of the house is protected from the weather.
