Gottfried von Cochenhausen

Gottfried von Cochenhausen (* 1674 in Stralsund ; † 1738 ibid) was land rent master in Swedish Pomerania . He was a son of the councilor and later Stralsund mayor Johann Friedrich Coch (1624–1683).

On December 12, 1706 he was by King Charles XII. raised by Sweden to the nobility of the Swedish Empire. He entered the finance department and became an assistant to the chief inspector of Accise in the duchies of Bremen and Verden . He later became a castle inspector in Stettin and then district administrator and steward in Pomerania. After the peace he was Oberacciseinspektor in Stralsund.

He was married twice and had 24 children. One of his sons was Johann Friedrich von Cochenhausen , a Hessian major general and knight of the order pour la vertu militaire .
