Green Anarchy (dt. Green Anarchy) was a magazine published in the USA by the eco-anarchist movement . The magazine was published biannually from 2001 to 2008 and was edited by a collective from Eugene , Oregon . Green Anarchy called itself an "anti-civilizationist magazine for theory and practice".

A grassroots group of anarchists started the project with moderate success. It was not until issue 8 in spring 2002 that it became better known in the radical international environmental scene. At that time, a wider US public was informed of the existence of the magazine through reports in Fox News , Eugene Weekly .

The magazine's authors are involved in various other projects, such as the production of radio broadcasts, video productions, international lecture tours and other activities. He has published the books "Elements of Refusal" (CAL Press), "Future Primitive" (Autonomedia), "Against Civilization" (Uncivilized Books) and "Running On Emptiness" (Feral House). Some of his books have been translated into other languages.

In the winter of 2004, Green Anarchy changed its format from tabloid to magazine format with issue 15 . The magazine currently had 72–100 pages with a print run of 8,000 to 9,000 printed copies. In addition, the magazine ran a shop with publications and other articles related to the eco-anarchist movement .
