history
The Prowlers (German: around drivers) were founded in 2000 and started in the same year as one of the fifteen participating franchises at the newly founded af2.
The first game in franchise history was lost on April 7, 2000 7:18 at the Alabama Steeldogs . After their first home game against Roanoke Steam was watched by 12,750, the average fell to 6,557 viewers over the course of the season. In its last season in 2003, only 2,692 spectators could be reported per home game.
The franchise could not move into the playoffs once in its history and only ended one season with a positive win-loss ratio. After four unsuccessful years, the Prowlers disbanded in 2003.
