Border between Iraq and Saudi Arabia

The border between Iraq and Saudi Arabia is approximately 814 km long. In the northwest, the border ends near Turaif with Jordan , in the southeast with Kuwait . The crossing northeast of Arar is one of the border crossings .

In 2006, Saudi Arabia built a fence. The Franco-German arms company EADS, now Airbus Group , was awarded the contract to build the border with Iraq in 2009. In 2014, Saudi Arabia sent another 30,000 soldiers to the border. In January 2015 it was announced that Saudi Arabia was planning to build a barrier with better technology.
