The Greek Philological Society in Constantinople Opel ( Greek Ο Εν Κωνσταντινουπόλει Ελληνικός Φιλολογικός Σύλλογος O En Konstantinoupólei Ellinikos Filologikós Syllogos ) was a society for the promotion of Greek education and science in the Greek community in Istanbul and beyond throughout the Ottoman Empire .

The association existed from 1861 until the fall of the Ottoman Empire in the course of the persecution of the Greeks in 1922/1923. From 1865 the later Grand Vizier İbrahim Edhem Pasha was an honorary member of the Greek Philological Society in Constantinople.
