Grip (short for Grip audio ripper ) is free audio CD playback and CD ripping software for the GNOME user interface . The main strength of GRIP is audio CD ripping, also called digital audio extraction , which makes it a CD ripper . The program was published under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and can therefore be used and distributed free of charge.
The development of Grip has been suspended since 2005. Therefore, it has been used more and more by other applications, e.g. B. Sound Juicer .
In 2017 a new supervisor took over the project and published new versions.
