Great certificate of proficiency

The master craftsman's certificate is referred to as a major certificate of competence if there are regulations that make the master craftsman's certificate a prerequisite for the independent management of a craft business. Such a regulation exists in Germany and Luxembourg and is often referred to as a compulsory master craftsman.

One speaks of a master craftsman's certificate as a minor qualification if the master craftsman's certificate is a prerequisite for training .

history

After 1869 in the northern German Bund which is led in Germany in 1813 freedom of trade to the craft had been clarified with respect and without qualifications apprentices were allowed to be formed which was established in 1908 Little qualification introduced.

The Grand Certificate of Proficiency was introduced in 1935. Afterwards, craftsmen were only allowed to train in the profession in which they had acquired a master craftsman's certificate themselves.

In 1999 the trainer qualification regulation came into force.
