Great stone grave in Heeslingen

The large stone grave in Heeslingen was a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel beaker culture near Heeslingen in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district ( Lower Saxony ). It was destroyed in the 19th century.

The grave was located west of Heeslingen on the way to Offensen , on a hill near the Stimbeck (Steinbeck) stream .

description

According to a report from 1839, the grave had a capstone with a length of 2.33 m and a width of 1.75 m, which rested on four wall stones. Since it was not noted whether the grave was completely preserved, its exact type cannot be determined with certainty.
