The Gruber waiting is waiting in the Lower Austrian town of Weißenkirchen in the Wachau . The control room is located at 738 m above sea level, just below the summit of the Buschandlwand , offers a view of the Mieslingbachtal and the Danube near Spitz and is listed by name on the ÖK 50. In 1887 a lookout point was designed for the first time at this point; however, the facility fell into disrepair after the First World War. In 1998, on the initiative of the Austrian Tourist Club, a new viewing platform was built, which was named in honor of the Wösendorfer Bruckner student Josef Gruber .
