Principles of proper and qualified personnel consulting

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The principles of proper and qualified personnel consulting (GoPB) are guidelines of the Federal Association of German Management Consultants (BDU), which describe how a consulting assignment to support a client in his search for a specialist and manager ( personnel consulting ) should be fulfilled in a suitable manner.

Content

The GoPB describe the consulting process from the beginning of the contractual agreement to the end of the cooperation between the personnel consultant and the client. In detail u. a. Recommendations for the initial interview with the client and the basic contractual framework, the preparation and implementation of the search and selection process, the evaluation of candidate documents, the professional interview with suitable candidates, the reference check and the post-contractual provisions are made. Special attention is drawn to the legal obligations under the General Equal Treatment Act and the regulations on so-called direct contact at the workplace. On the basis of their assessment and evaluation criteria, the GoPB can serve as a well-founded decision-making aid for clients and candidates.

Legal meaning

Similar to the recommendations of other professional and business associations or the DIN standards, the GoPB is primarily a "private set of rules with the character of a recommendation". They are therefore not binding, but in the event of legal disputes they can be a yardstick for proper action - in the sense of a recognized rule of the profession.
