The Federal Association of German Management Consultants e. V. (BDU), based in Bonn and with a branch in Berlin, is a business and professional association of management consulting and personnel consulting companies in Germany.

mandate

The main task of the association is to improve the economic and legal framework in the consulting industry . In addition, it formulates quality standards for its member companies through minimum entry criteria and professional principles (see principles of proper planning or principles of proper and qualified personnel consultancy ). In the professional associations, current and future trends in management consulting are discussed, new consulting concepts are developed and an exchange of experience is offered. The association is currently (2019) organized in 10 professional associations:

structure

The association is headed by a board (four members) and a management. In addition, the association conference (the chairpersons of the professional associations) has an advisory role. The association court can be called upon if member companies have violated the professional principles.

Memberships

The BDU is a member of the Federal Association of Liberal Professions (BFB), the Network European Movement Germany , the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) and the European Confederation of Search & Selection Associations (ECSSA).
