Grupo Pixote
Grupo Pixote is a Brazilian pagoda group.
Career
The group was founded in 1993 by seven young people and after participating in a samba festival, they signed a contract with the Zimbawê label. Musicians like Zeca Pagodinho , Fundo de Quintal , Martinho da Vila , 14 Bis, Windsier, Emílio Santiago and Djavan were her role models. First they played cover versions of the bands Sonho Real and Sonho de Poeta in the opening act for the group Pagode de Primeira. Before they could earn money with their music, the musicians had to stay afloat with odd jobs at McDonald's, selling auto parts or as a tourist guide in Ouro Preto . Her first CD, Brilho de Cristal, was released in 1996, followed by Tão Inocente, which produced six hits. In 2000 they changed record labels and produced Tá Bom Demais with Continental East West. Among other things, they played at a CERET-SP show in front of an audience of over 100,000 people, as well as during an event for the 1994 World Cup in the Ibirapuera district of São Paulo .
