Group call

The group call ( multicast ) is a switching service feature of radio stations and mobile radio networks .

In a group call , a group of participants is selected and called with whom a participant would like to communicate. After the multipoint connection has been established, most services can only communicate in half duplex : one person speaks, all others listen. It can be both voice communication and data communication. The group call is in mobile radio and trunked radio possible, as in Funkrufnetzen and GSM -Netz.
