The Guardian Rock (from English guardian 'protector, watchman, guardian' ) is a low cliff rock off the Loubet coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . In the Bigourdan Fjord , it is 2.5 km north of Parvenu Point on Pourquoi-Pas Island .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out an initial survey between 1948 and 1949. The rock got its name because of its geographical position in the northwest entrance to The Narrows .
