The building stone Guddal Jøtulstaven is a menhir on a grassy plain in the upper Stryndal in Oppstryn in Fylke Vestland in Norway .

description

The needle-like stone is about 4.5 meters high and very slender and slopes slightly to one side. The width is about one meter at the base, but already at a height of one meter the stone tapers and the width reduces to about 0.3 m at the top. It has a square cross-section. The edges are sharp.

The Guddal Jøtulstaven could have a similar history to the Resastaven .

The local myth tells of a giant troll running across the valley. He had a walking stick and when he wanted to rest he leaned against it. One piece is said to have broken off and remained standing since then.
