Guerilla was a German hardcore punk band from Stuttgart .

Members

The band members were largely unknown. At least two members had previously worked in the Stuttgart Oi! -Band Oi! Genz played. At concerts or on covers, the guerrilla members could only be seen wearing masks. On the 2009 album Chapter IV. Emancipation , a song was recorded together with rapper Chaoze One . Immediately after the album was released, the band split up in January 2009 as part of a farewell concert with Riot Brigade and Meinhof .

Texts

Their radical left-wing political stance was evident in the band's lyrics. In the texts, the desire for a social and economic revolution in Germany becomes clear, as well as the desire for active anti-fascism. Current conditions were often described and critically questioned, such as B. Poverty, injustice, deportation policy, authority, state repression, etc. Anti-state socialism was sought as a form of society.

music

The band's music can be classified as hardcore, especially on the first album Virus Macht , which was sung entirely in German. They kept the style with the second album. On the third album Zona Antifascista , however, elements from other subgenres of punk rock were mixed in.
